HE Opens Another Door is my memoir, which highlights innumerable incidents in my life when I was in a very tight corner but quite miraculously HE opened another door for me that turned out to be a far better option. It starts with perhaps the most dramatic of them all when my wife suffered a paralytic stroke. I had to take premature retirement from the Army to bring her to the USA for treatment, giving up my very promising career. Entering the USA as a student, I completed my Ph.D. in International Business Strategy and Management in a little over three years, again in the most dramatic and challenging circumstances.

My entire life has been replete with many such incidents, full of challenges but from which I emerged due to His Grace. Another memorable event was my being able to interview Bharat Ratna JRD Tata and Mr. Nani Palkhivala on the same day for a motivational film for the Army, “Pause to Ponder – Ethics, Values and the Soldier”, which I scripted and anchored. The memoir narrates my experiences during 31 years of Army service and subsequently 22 years in US academia. Being an International Management scholar, I got numerous opportunities to travel all over the globe for various academic conferences.
